Unless
you have been locked away in a prison camp or
living under a rock, you’ve heard of Battle
Flask. Their
sound is virtually impossible to ignore. They
have carved their name into the punk rock scene,
played with every iconic band and venue you can
imagine, receive tons of press the world over,
and have a growing mob of loyal fans.
Spawning
from the seedy back alleys of North Hollywood,
California, Battle Flask has been on a touring
binge that would have killed most bands.
The have dismantled the stage with
legends such as Blitz, JFA, Sham 69, Strung Out,
and Street Dogs just to name a few. They have
one speed; flat-out hauling ass. Their
infectious blend of old-school punk with a
country twang is a bit like if Bad Religion
combined with Dead Kennedys.
Battle
Flasks’ jaw dropping live performances and
hectic tour schedule makes the band a press
generating machine.
Most recently, punk rock legend Marky
Ramone has Battle Flask tracks “Smile” and
“Reload” in rotation on his satellite radio
show The
Punk Rock Blitzkrieg on Sirius 28 and XM 52.
The band has been featured in publications such
as Flipside, Razorcake, PunkNews.org, AMP, and
Loud Fast Rules- and that’s just in the
States. Battle Flasks’ web has extends into
Europe landing them reviews in the UK, France,
and the Czech Republic...all of the reviews
positive, to say the least.
Riding the wave
of success generated by their 2007 debut EP
“Pledge Your Allegiance,” Battle Flask is
back again with a new full length album for
2010. Smile!... Tomorrow Will Be Worse raises the bar yet again for
musicianship and intensity by this young
up-and-coming band.
They stay true to their roots with
blistering punk rock beats mixed with an outlaw
country resonance and politically charged
lyrics. Reviewers have compared Battle Flask to
Dropkick Murphys, Cock Sparrer, and One Man
Army, while maintaining an identity of their
own.
“Certainly
one of the best Punk Rock albums of the
year….”
- Rock En Folie- France
“This
is a first-rate, high-energy sonic charge from
start to finish. The working thesis for Battle
Flask is CHARGE! Attack all that is wrong with
society and within the self with all the power
and fury of the intelligent and well-informed
rebel. It’s hard to believe four ordinary
humans can make the thunderous sound of the
gods. Yeah, I like it. Can you tell?”
- Marcus Solmon- Razorcake Magazine
