Running On Fumes formed in 2001 hailing from Long Beach, California. After only a handful of shows, ROF hit the studio to do their first recordings with Mike Trujillo (Union 13, Choking Victim) on the controls at Succulent Sounds. Running On Fumes “Self-Titled” EP was well received by both fans and critics alike. The band landed some good press exposure, reviews, and even muscled their way onto Fuel TV with their fist-pumping anthem “Hard Times”.

From 2002 through 2004 Running On Fumes started paying their dues on the stage and hit the road playing every show they could book from San Diego to San Francisco. Eventually there set no longer included any of the songs off their EP, and the band hit the studio to start recording their first full length album. Running On Fumes debut album “The Beginning Of The End” is 11 new songs that show the bands talent, and development over the last few years. “All around this album kicks ass!” Big Wheel Magazine January 2006. Aggressive dual guitars, sign along choruses, and precision drumming accompanied by superb bass lines. The album was recorded and mixed at the award-winning Westbeach Recorders in Hollywood, CA by Chris Gresham (Rancid, Bad Religion, Face To Face).

During the summer of 2006 ROF packed up and hit the road; San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Reno, Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, and a few more cities that the band can’t seem to recall. That winter, Running On Fumes hit the studio again to record an exclusive track “Up In Arms” for a compilation called “LA’s Most Wanted” featuring such acts as the U.S. Bombs and The Aggrolites. Once again the band turned another corner and found themselves in new territory and a further progression of their sound. Straight to the point, aggressive; yet melodic at the same time. ROF fans can always count on new material, while still sticking to the core of their old school meets new school sound.
